How I find a Book to Read

I usually go to the end of the isles of books in the library and type things into the computer at the end that I would like to read a book about, if that doesn’t work I go by books that my English teacher recommends to our class. I use these methods because I know what I want to read about like what I am interested in and because English teachers usually have a good taste in books and know what is appropriate for our age group to read.

I find my strategies to be quite successful, because I when I read about something that I like I cannot stop reading until I have finished the book where I look for sequels to the book.

The book I am reading now is called Deadly Prospect this book is about motocross. I came about it by using my first strategies typing key words into the computers at the end of the isles. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in motocross because it is a quite an interesting book on a young boys adventure from start when he became interested in motocross to when he finishes his motocross journey.

Looking for Blondie by Jenny Pausacker

The book name is Looking For Blondie, and the main character is Justine. Justine is fourteen years old she is short with a height of 140 cm she has plain old brown hair and good teeth. The book is told in first person narrative by Justine. Justines uncle (Sam Wedgwood) is a crime novel writer and he has a doll that he uses as inspiration to write novels, untill one night when it got stolen and he lost his wrighting touch.

I think that the author has created Justine because she makes a perspective that ouldn't have been given by anyone else in the story because she lives with him and is close to him. Justine was made this age because children at that age have a very discriptive look at things and that helps the reader picture what is going on in their heads.

If Justine was a boy the story wouldn't have flowed as good as it does, because if she was a boy she would not have liked Brett McCluskey so much because they would have been from the same sex. This would damage the story because the offensive things that brett said and did would have been taken more seriously by Justine and they wouldn't have stayed friends.

Diary vs Blog

People would rather do a blogger than a diary because with a blog you can get peoples personal oppinions on your work, and they can support you to keep on wrighting if you have written a good starting to a story.

A diary is really a recolection of your day that you write, you usurally do an entry every day or week. A blog is more like a recolection on a piece of work that you have written, or the actual piece of wrighting, this is viewed by many people for encouragement or help like were to go next.

Document’s Name My Alpine Path
It is a community of readers that all write poems they all comment on each others poems, they update this blog every 1 to 7 days with new poems and comments. First the people writing the poems write about what they are going to base their next poem upon and then in a different entry write the poem, this is good because you can see where they are coming from.

Short Story #1

Ant God by James Lovegrove

Ant God was a very intaresting story about two young boys that saw something that was ment be left unseen. The book doesn't really explain what they saw but you still get a clear idea of what t was (God).

At the end of the book a tragerdy hapens were Jason gets hit by a train during a storm, just as they were about to destroy the glases.

I liked the book because it was weird and weird means intaresting and i like interesting because it convinces me to keep on reading, just woundering what strange thing was going to happen.

How I view myself as a reader

I see my self as a struggling reader because of my slow reading style where i do not gain any of the imformation out of what i read and my lack of vocabluary (which i am getting tutoring for).

I like to read small books because even if i have read little pages it seems like alot and big writing because i feel lke i have improved my reading skilly because i finish reading a page.

I cannot say that I acturaly enjoy reading but when i find the right book i could read it over and over again. I do not like a certain type of jonra or am interested in a certin author but certain books an catch my eye and make me want to read it and leaves we wanting more.

The type of book that i like is the ones that pack all of the action into every paragraph so that if i happen to have a break from reading i will base the rest of the day on woundering what happens next.
