I think that a book is better than a movie in the sence that a book gives a lot more detail than a movie does and a movie usually has alot of the book missing out, this is hard to tell and you do not realise unless you have read the book in the first place.
I have encounted one of these situations when i went to see the first harry potter movie. I had read the book before hand and was dissapointed to see so much information and detail left out in the movie.
I think that a book is better than a movie because you can gather alot more information from it, because it is more detailed and withholds more information about its subject in most cases. I personally have watched a movie for a subject and then read the book that the movie was based on, and saw first hand how much more knowledge that you can retain from a book than a movie in school situations.

I agree with your point that books have alot more detail than movies, however i do not agree that a book is better than a movie. I believe that the entertainment level of a movie beats the detail of a book. Each person has an opinion though so good work.

hey pidge i could say that books are better then movies but i would still rather see the movie instead of reading the book.
